Accuracy is the main aim of every woodworker, yet we all manage to include a few glitches in our projects be it a rocking shelf, a poorly mounted hinge or a ragged edge to a drill hole. and nothing needs more care and attention than the European System 32 hardware.
With our Layout Kit most of these problems are solved. How does it work?
The self adhesive tape is marked at exact 32mm centres with the drilling positions.
These positions are also 37mm from the edge on one side and 35mm on the other.
Therefore you simply;
Set the tape out with required edge in line with the edge of the workpiece, starting at the one end of the panel and on an exact 32mm position.
Lightly rub the tape to ensure it is adhered to the workpiece, on veneers and solid timber this will help eliminate ragged holes.
Using the marked holes position the 5.0mm Layout bit and drill all the holes or as many of the holes as your project needs.
The carefully remove the tape and marvel at the crisp accurate holes you've produced.
Notice the 'dbc' logo on the tape? This indicates it's part of the 'Designed By Cabinetmakers' range

Trimming edging be it Laminate, PVC or Timber Veneer can be tricky, usually it involves a knife, a block of wood for backing and somewhere to hold the workpiece, one slip and the edging can be damaged.
Here's the solution.....
Flush Cut Pliers, place them up against the edge of the panel. snip!! and you have a clean cut edge, no splitting, no chipping and no repairing.
Not suitable for use on edges thicker than 2.00mm or nails etc.

In days gone by..... pinned tenons were considered to pinnacle of joinery methods.
