The new Xtreme Xtension from Router Technologies is a terrific accessory for your plunge router. This is the only bit Xtension that is balanced, and short enough to not add run out to the bit, yet still extend itself above the table for quick, easy, single tool bit changes, ALL WITHOUT HAVING TO EVEN LOCK THE SPINDLE!!!
This product can be especially helpful when using routers like the DeWalt 625 which in certain installations has insufficient travel to bring short bits sufficiently above the table. The Xtreme Xtension provides for 25mm of grip range and extends the cutter 32mm and is slightly less than 45mm in diameter. ¼” adapter bushing and 5/32” hex key.
This product is recommended for variable speed routers only!!! The table below show the suggested speeds for various bit sizes.
