Router Buddy Fence
Notice when the fence is located on the centre of the base plate the entire fence fits within the confines of the base plate. There is no part of the fence protruding beyond the edge of the router. This results in good balance and the fence only weights 1-1/2 ounces. It is so light and manoeuvrable the operator can hardly tell it's there when being used.  
Fence features
The Fence on the left is shown doing a cut along a straight edge. Note the small cutter opening on the fence. The small opening is to minimize the sniping at the start and ending of cuts that are commonly found with the large cutter opening found on the most of the competitive fences.
The picture on the right shows the included Half Rounds attached to the fence. Use this set-up when you need to follow a curved edge and the straight fence just won't do.  
Examples of the Fence Versatility
The Router Buddy fence is designed to meet the many different needs that are encountered when doing a variety of different tasks. Its ability to accept operator built sub-fences makes it very versatile. A couple of examples of sub-fences are pictured here.
The sub-fence on the left is longer & wider than the standard fence for increased stability. It can also be used as a sacrificial fence. The sub-fence on the right has a larger cutter opening when a larger cutter may be required. Notice that even with sub-fences attached it is still the most compact fence available and the off centre overhang of all other fences has been eliminated. 
Summary fence operation
The fence and base plate alone are worth the price of the Router Buddy without giving consideration to the other accessories and high speed conversions features that are a part of the entire kit. After having used the typical fences on the market you will find this one is light and well balanced and that using a fence is now a breeze. Its ease of attaching and detaching is fast and simple. The storage hole for the mounting screw is very convenient and ensures that the screw is close-by when needed.
 
Circle Cutting with ease.
The circle Jig attaches to the Base Plate in about 30 seconds or less. With the standard Circle Jig shown you can cut circles from 2 to 18 3/8-inches (50 mm to 467 mm) in diameter. Centre disk can be cut to under 1-inch (25 mm) depending with the router bit used. It is infinitely adjustable even to thousands of an inch
You can cut holes for speaker cabinets, guitar cases or whatever need you may have for a hole including holes with a counter bore. Your need may be to use the centre disk for table tops, Lazy Susan's, wheels for toys or other uses. You will find it an indispensible tool once you have it.
NOTE: Move the router in the counter clockwise direction when cutting circles and ellipses.
